Description

Dolphin Gray, King Starboard brand HDPE 1/2" x 18" x 12".
Lightly Textured.
Marine board is a durable, consistent sheet that is easy to clean, impervious to water, and resistant to harsh weather environments.
It will not rot, discolor, delaminate, rust, or deteriorate.
It is easy to fabricate with and excellent for use in CNC applications.
It is FDA approved for Food Contact and a much better option than wood.
Marine Board High density polyethylene (HDPE) is used in a variety of applications and industries where excellent impact resistance, high tensile strength, low moisture absorption and chemical- and corrosion-resistance properties are required.
High density polyethylene is harder than low density polyethylene and has higher tensile strength, and better compressive strength.
HDPE has good insulation properties and is easy to weld.
Note that this stuff doesn't bond to most glues, nor does normal paint stick to it.
It can be tapped for Machine Screws really well, and you can use woodworking tools on it for the most part (cutting, routing, drilling).
The operating temperature is from -58 °F to +194 °F.
HDPE is a cost effective material for both indoor and outdoor applications.
You are buying ONE piece of Dolphin Gray HDPE 1/2" x 18" x 12" (inches).
The piece you get may run a tiny bit larger (up to 1/4" Length and/or Width), but none will be smaller than the listed dimensions.
It is 1/2" thick (you picky Machinists, note that this is an "approximate" thickness measurement, and can vary by a couple thousandths).
