    Description

    This 1968 concert poster featured Country Joe and the Fish, The Charlatans, Dan Hicks and The Hot Licks at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco. It's funny that Dan Hicks a singer song writer guitarist started out in the Charlatans and the rest of the band would not let him be the front man because he was tall and they were shrimps, so they made him play the drums. He then formed his own band Dan Hicks and the Hot licks and performed for the next 50 plus years. The poster is a 1st printing and measures approx. 14 x 20 inches and is in overall great condition. I'm lucky enough to have seen these bands live but I know very little about judging the value of these posters so I looked at what others are asking and asked less. Thanks for looking..
