OPTIX® Acrylic Sheets are a lightweight, durable, transparent material, often used as a replacement glass in many applications. Easy to cut with common tools, acrylic is a popular choice for hobby, craft, replacement picture frame glass, and DIY projects, such as shelf-lining, cabinet fronts, window boxes, desk-top protection, & more. Clear acrylic sheets are clear plastic sometimes known as plexiglass sheet. Acrylic glass sheet can be used in similar applications as polycarbonate sheet when less impact resistance is required.
Suitable for Indoor or Outdoor Use
OPTIX acrylic clear plastic sheet is able to withstand prolonged exposure to the sun and the elements. The UV stabilized sheet also prevents yellowing.
Easy to Clean
Clean OPTIX acrylic sheet with a mild soap solution, or a commercially available plastic cleaner, and a lint free cloth. Avoid cleaners containing ammonia or alcohol.
Fabricate and Cut with Common Hand Tools
To cut or trim OPTIX acrylic sheet up to 1/4" thick, score repeatedly (to 1/3 through the sheet) along a straight edge with a plastic cutting tool. Align the score with the edge of the table & apply gentle pressure to break the sheet along the score line.
Decorate with paint or vinyl for unique DIY Crafts
OPTIX can be easily decorated using paints produced specifically for acrylic or vinyl. Painting acrylic sheet reduces impact resistance. Design considerations should be taken into account to minimize potential breakage.
