Description
One of the great posters from the original Bill Graham series. Created by two Masters of psychedelic artwork Rick Griffin and Alton Kelley collaborated on it.Titled Bloom , it was done to announce shows at the Fillmore West, which previously, and recently had been the Carousel Ballroom. The talent and events announced on this first printing pre-concert Poster include:
The Who
The Grateful Dead
Quicksilver Messenger Service
Creedance Clearwater Revival
Spooky Tooth
Kaleidoscope
Albert Collins
it's A Beautiful Day
James Cotton
Magic Sam & More
This poster was very sharply professionally mounted, and still is, to ¼” foam board. The only issues I see are some small (< ½ inch) light very thin creasing at the corners, not intrusive (they do not show up in photos, I tried) and an area of scuffing? above and to the right of “the Who”, which manifest as a couple of small white spots, , not sure what that is
(see photos and close up)
, and a few tiny edge dings. Still presents quite nicely overall,
Even tho it has some issues, it is priced accordingly.
Size is 22 x 28.5 inches.
